Shrimp / Chicken Stew

Ingredients

Unit Quantity Prep
2 Oz Olive Oil
4 Oz Sofrito
3 Oz Tomato Paste or Tomato Sauce
1 Pound Each Shrimp and Chicken (Thigh Meat)
1 Each Sazon
1 Tbsp Chicken Base
8 Oz Water
2 Tbsp Cilantro
2 Tbsp Culantro

 

Method:

  1. In a saucepan, add the oil and when hot add sofrito, keep cooking for a few minutes
  2. Add tomato paste and cook for a minute
  3. Add the already seasoned protein (season with salt)
  4. Once almost cooked add the rest of the ingredients and cook on low heat
  5. Amount of water depends on the protein
  6. Season with salt if necessary
