Rice Plus with Chris Cosentino and Sang Yoon
Friday, Sept. 6, 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Hawaii Convention Center
Hawai‘i loves rice and you’ll love the way these two chefs cook it up! Chris Cosentino (Incanto, San Francisco) and Sang Yoon (Lukshon, Los Angeles) prepare rice dishes you could never imagine. Master Sommelier Roberto Viernes will pour beautifully paired wine and sake to complement the dishes. Cosentino’s Italian heritage and Yoon’s Korean-Russian background will certainly influence this cooking demonstration but be ready for surprises!
Sweet Endings, Sweet Wine with Christina Tosi and Michelle Karr-Ueoka

Two fabulous pastry chefs known for their inventive creations, sweeten up the day with a cooking class for dessert lovers that will dazzle and delight that sweet tooth. They’ll feature Hawai‘i grown chocolate and tropical fruits in exotic combinations plus wine pairings from Alan Wong’s Sommelier Mark Shishido that will perfect the experience.
My Italian Way with Celestino Drago and Jonathan Waxman

It’s not just about tomato sauces for these two Italians – their Italian way has earned each of them prestigious awards and accolades. One hails from Sicily and migrated to the West, while the other is from California and headed East. Happily, in the world of Italian food, these two star chefs focus on fresh, quality ingredients and respectful treatment of food that makes their cuisine absolutely great. Each dish will be masterfully paired with an exceptional wine to make their Italian way your Italian way.
Fire It Up with Chilis with Dean Fearing, Charles Phan and Ming Tsai
Saturday, Sept. 7, 1 to 3 p.m., Hawaii Convention Center
Three chefs with very different ethnic cuisines – Texan, Vietnamese and Chinese – fire it up for a fiery, hot and spicy cooking class featuring fresh, dried, powdered, chopped, pureed and whole chilis! Hot pairings of Anheuser Busch beers by brewmaster George Reisch round out the flavorful extravaganza!
