Spicy Chicken Wontons (Poached)

Ingredients

  • 2lb ground chicken thigh
  • 4 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • ½ cup green onion, thinly sliced
  • TT salt and pepper 
  • Wonton Wrappers (60) – White, circular preferred

Method:

Mix together ground chicken, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and green onions

Season to taste

Assembly:

Place filling in center of wrapper

Brush half of the edge of the wrapper with water

Fold in half and seal, ensuring there are no air pockets

Moisten one corner of the half circle dumpling and bring both points together

 

Cooking:

Simmer in gently boiling water 5-7 minutes or until cooked through

Strain and toss with spicy sauce and top with green onions
